Mahila Mahavidyalaya,Godda was established on 5th September 1983. After a thorough discussion by first Deputy Commissioner of the newly formed district and sub divisional officials with the senior intellectuals, social workers and educationists of the district,Godda district is a most backward district, which has a large number of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and extremely backward class.In such backward districts, For the purpose of empowering and connecting with the mainstream of the society, a women's college in the district Establishment of the decision | Of the land adjacent to the residence of the sub-divisional officer, 6.25 acres of land has been donated to the first Deputy Commissioner for the Women's College, without paying the price.

This college has permanent affiliation in 12 subjects of Arts and 5 subjects of science. This college is registered under UGC 2 f and 12 B. It has got 'B' grade and 2.03 CGPA in NAAC. The students of this college have also received Gold Medal in different years at the university level and have given better examination results, in which the role of qualified teachers in the college is important. Apart from this, the college conducts various cultural and sports activities for the overall development of girl students, organizes seminars, discussions on social, political and cultural topics. Increases the value of college through N.S.S and N.C.C. from districts to National level events.
